Apartment Transfers

If you currently live in BYU Student Family Housing and wish to transfer to a different apartment, you may do so after four months of residency in your current apartment. A $50 transfer fee will be charged. To transfer, you must follow the same Contracting Process that new tenants do to submit an agreement for your new apartment.

Change Billed Account

If married, you may choose which spouse's account gets billed each month; however, we will only bill the account of a tenant who is enrolled in classes at the University. All rental payments must be made to the currently billed account. Click here to change the billed account.

Contracting Process

Read all the instructions BEFORE beginning the contracting process.

If you are engaged or married at the time you contract for an apartment, both Part 1 and Part 2 must be submitted before the agreement will be complete. Part 1 should be submitted by a student who is or will be enrolled in classes at the University. This is the tenant whose account will be billed each month. Part 2 must be submitted by the spouse/fiancé(e) before 3:00 p.m. Provo Time on the following day. The same person cannot submit both Part 1 and Part 2 of the agreement, as both spouses are required to contract jointly for the agreement. This requires both spouses to have a valid, working NetID. Make sure you both can log in to myBYU before beginning the contracting process. Click here to create a NetID.

If you are a single parent with dependent(s), you only need to submit Part 1 of the agreement.

If this is the apartment you want, click the "Proceed to Contract - Part 1" button. As soon as you click this button, your selected apartment will be placed on hold for you for 30 minutes while you finish Part 1 of the Agreement Process. If Part 1 is not submitted within 30 minutes, the apartment will be released and become available again for anyone else to select.

  4. Eviction Statement You must check the box certifying you have never been evicted from BYU Contracted Off-Campus Housing or from BYU On-Campus Housing.

When you click the "Continue" button, you will be redirected to QuikPAY, the University's online payment processing application. To make the payment, select the "Make Payment" link in the left menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to make the online payment. If payment is not made at this time, your agreement will not be honored.
