Q: Who may I contact with questions about my future retirement?
A: The Retirement Specialist will help you plan for retirement by calculating retirement estimates and providing information regarding the Master Retirement Plan, supplemental retirement plans (Deseret Mutual Thrift Plan and TIAA/CREF), Social Security, Medicare, medical insurance, life insurance, and other University benefits after retirement. Call the Benefits Office to schedule an appointment with the Retirement Specialist.

Q: How can I find out if I am saving enough money for a comfortable retirement?
A: At your request, the Retirement Specialist can calculate a retirement income projection with estimates for the Master Retirement Plan, Social Security, and the supplemental retirement plans in order to help you reach an informed decision. Deseret Mutual offers financial planning service at no cost to employees.  To make an appointment with one of the financial planners call 1-800-777-3622, ext. 5627.  The planners are usually on campus two to three times each month.

Q: How do I take out a loan against my Deseret Mutual Thrift Plan or TSA?
A: To initiate a loan, log on to the DMBA website using your DMBA ID# and Password. Click on the "Retirement" tab.  Use the link, "Savings Plan(s) Access. Or you may call the Deseret Mutual Savings Department at 1-800-777-3622 and request that the paperwork be sent to you. You may also go to the Benefits Office and a Benefits Counselor will assist you.

Q: How do I make a withdrawal from my Deseret Mutual Savings account?*
A: To initiate a withdrawal, log on to the DMBA website using your DMBA ID# and Password. Click on the "Retirement" tab.  Use the link, "Savings Plan(s) Access. Or call the Deseret Mutual Savings Department at 1-800-777-3622 to request that a withdrawal form be sent to you. You may also go to the Benefits Office and a Benefits Counselor will assist you.

Q: How do I make savings and allocation changes to my Deseret Mutual Thrift Plan account?
A: All changes, including contribution percentages and investment allocations, can be made by logging on to the Deseret Mutual website using your DMBA ID# and Password. Click on the "Retirement" tab.  Use the link, "Savings Plan(s) Access. You can also make changes by calling 1-800-777-3622 to access the Deseret Mutual Savings Plan Phone System.
